esco receives "Winner" award of the ABC Award 2022

With the innovative software solution "Powersoftware for Power-Skiving: Continuous Precision in the Process Chain", esco GmbH was once again able to convince. On 29 September 2022, Kenneth Sundberg accepted the "Winner" award in the "Mobility Innovation" category on behalf of the company at the award ceremony held by the German Design Council.

Tomorrow's mobility begins today with innovative developments. Alternatives to the combustion engine are only one of the central challenges. The benefits of the esco software system also lie in gear manufacturing for e-mobility: increasing efficiency and quality and - not least - saving resources.

esco is Winner of the German Innovation Award 2022

With its innovative software solution "Powersoftware for Power-Skiving: Continuous Precision in the Process Chain", esco GmbH was able to convince the expert jury of the German Innovation Award and received the coveted "Winner" award of the German Innovation Award 2022 in the category "Excellence in Business to Business, E-Mobility Technologies" on 24 May 2022.

The esco software solution for the layout and production of skiving cutters is characterised by its unique selling point as a comprehensive process chain solution: geometric design and optimisation starting with the gear, as well as skiving simulation, tool production and process-related tool measurement, all incorporated into a single, systemic solution. Gear manufacturing for e-mobility particularly benefits from the system through increased efficiency and quality, as well as savings on resources.

esco expands Power Skiving software with powerful technology module

The new software solution enables production-oriented tool design and process optimization directly on the machine. The technology module provides relevant information for efficient use such as the analysis of the effective rake and clearance angles, the boundary conditions for the cut distribution and the main machining times. It also answers the question of how far the respective skiving cutter can be resharpened: setting data for use in the reground state will be optimized; and the profile analysis for the gear shows when tolerances are being exceeded.
